Passing Leap

Trick ID: 057
Two flyers cross in the air with various combinations of tricks

#Wrists Catch

Explanation

There are several ways to perform this trick.

This is the simplest and most common method:
The first flyer performs a simple legs catch, as she swings with the catcher, the fly bar swings back to the platform, and the second flyer jumps onto the bar in a front support (uprise) position. Both trapezes swing back into the middle and the second flyer pumps and shoots over to the catcher as the first flyer comes up underneath the bar for a return (they cross in mid-air). The first flyer, now back on the flybar, swings on one side of the bar. The second swings with the catcher then comes back to the other side of the flybar with a simple half-turn return. They end up swinging side by side on the bar and get back onto the platform together.

Other variations of this trick include the first flyer performing a different trick to legs (for example a one and a half). The first flyer could also perform any trick with a Bird's Nest or Angel Return. The second flyer can also make his part more impressive by performing a Forward Over rather than a simple shoot.
