Other Names: Whip

This variation of the Whip differs from the basic position as follows: Usually you let go of the bar and straighten your body for the catch. In a Whip Planche, you straighten into a Planche position as you approach the frontend, and then let go for the catch as you would a regular Planche.

Since you need to bring your legs through into a Planche Position, hold the bar in a Regular Grip (like for a Planche) rather than the Narrow Grip for a Whip.
